GigEdge is operated by Kenneth Hunter (sole proprietor), based in Torrance, California. We build tools to help gig economy delivery drivers optimize their earnings.

GigEdge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to DoorDash, Inc., Uber Eats, Grubhub, Instacart, Walmart Spark, Lyft, Uber Technologies, or any other delivery, grocery, retail, or rideshare platform. Platform names are referenced only for nominative fair use to describe the third-party services our users work with. We do not share your data with these companies.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising. GigEdge products are ad-free.

5. Location & Mileage Data

GigEdge requests precise GPS location (via the browser Geolocation API or iOS CoreLocation) while the app is open and you are in an active session. On iOS, with your explicit permission, background location is used to automatically detect trip start/end events for IRS-compliant mileage tracking. Location data is:

You can deny location permission at any time via device settings. Denying location does not prevent basic app use but disables zone-based features and automatic mileage tracking.

6. Device Fingerprinting

GigEdge generates a browser/device fingerprint using: screen dimensions, timezone, platform, and user agent string. This fingerprint is stored alongside your account and used exclusively for: detecting ban-evasion, fraud scoring, and active-shift locking.

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Tennessee, Indiana, New Jersey, Delaware, New Hampshire, Minnesota, or Maryland, you have rights under your state's privacy law including:

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the rights described above under the General Data Protection Regulation. Our legal basis for processing is your consent (for optional features like background location) and legitimate interest (for fraud prevention and service delivery). You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@gigedge.app.

No data is used for third-party advertising or tracking across other companies' apps.

11. Children

GigEdge is intended for adults (18+) working as independent gig contractors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact support@gigedge.app immediately.

12. Security

Data is stored in Supabase (SOC 2 certified infrastructure). Communications between the app and servers use TLS encryption. We perform automated fraud monitoring and maintain an internal fraud digest reviewed by the operator.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our data practices evolve. Material changes will be communicated via the email address on file at least 14 days before taking effect.
